Hi, I’m Al Myers, director of operations at 1147vodka.com, importers of White Birch and Old Russian vodkas. The other two “idiots” who run the company are Bob Ridgeway (director of sales) and Dr. Richard J. Fendler, Ph.D. (just a director, thank you).
This blog is here for two reasons. First, to allow us at the company to share our thoughts with the world. And second, to provide a space in which you, our readers and customers, can share your thoughts with us and with one another.
Remember when vodka was fun? A daring, grown-up drink with a mystique all its own? More than anything else, we want the experience of our vodkas to be fun — for customers and non-customers alike. There’s a great deal that goes on in the liquor world that merits comment, from ad campaigns, to alcohol regulation, to the way drinks taste, and much more. Having barely gotten our feet wet as bloggers last year, we aim much higher in 2008. I hope you will join us for the ride.
For now, 1147vodka the blog is designed as an open blog: anyone can post new entries, and anyone can comment on existing entries. To do either of the above, you need to register first.
